The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering Godís race in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:7-11)

Invest your life in the next generation -- 2 Kings 2:1-6
A visit to the city of Gilgal (2:1)

A visit to the city of Bethel (2:2-3)

A visit to the city of Jericho (2:4-5)

A visit to the Jordan River (2:6)

You therefore, my son (Timothy) be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men and women who will be able to teach others also. -- Paul (2 Timothy 1-2)

Ask God to give them eyes to see Eternity -- 2 Kings 2:7-14
Godís power is behind the parting of the river (2:7-8)

Godís power is behind the selecting a new prophet (2:9-10)

Godís power is behind the whirlwind (2:11-14)

“For momentary light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” -- Paul (2 Cor 4:17-18)

Questions to Consider
1. How are you planning on spending your last day on earth?

2. With whom are you investing your time so that the next generation will be able to hear about the love and mercy of Jesus Christ?

3. When you come to the least day of your physical life on earth will you be able to say in the spirit of Jesus “It is finished!” (That is, all that God had called you to be and do for Him in your lifetime has been fulfilled.)
